East Jakarta Administration keeps standby anticipating floodwater since rain intensity in Depok and Bogor, West Java is still high up to end of March.

East Jakarta BPBD’s Satlak, Iwan Samosir said flood could hit areas passed by Ciliwung river, Sunter river, and Cipinang river.

Flood Started to Recede at 16 RWsAccording to him, this condition led better condition of flood compared to previous years. Ciliwung normalization program also reduces flood in East Jakarta.
In order to anticipate and decrease flood risk, Manggarai sluice gate is always opened to flow water directly to sea. Early warning system is also spread to citizens via short message, Whatsapp, BBM, or announced in mosque.
